At Engaging Arts, we’re passionate about transforming spaces into immersive, sensory-rich environments that captivate and inspire. Our tempoary installation at the Walker Branch Library in Chicago, Illinois, exemplifies this mission.

As a site-specific artist, I am inspired by the potential of the spaces where art can be placed. Instead of fitting existing objects into designated locations, I envision how a site can come alive through art. My goal is to have the viewer experience the space itself through the content I create, employing textures, light, ambient sounds, and fragrances to stimulate the senses. I want viewers to be aware of something special happening within the space, to connect with it, and ultimately to internalize the encounter.

Inspired by Architecture and Nature

The Walker Branch Library, with its unique architecture and inviting natural light, provided the perfect canvas. For the left wing sitting room, surrounded by windows that bathe the space in warm, natural light, I designed art using natural elements. The result is a soothing, relaxing environment that harmonizes with the light, creating a serene retreat for library visitors.
