Reimagined Meadows is a collection of textile-based wall sculptures born from what was left behind.
Each piece begins with discarded quilts—abandoned mid-story or worn by time—and transforms them into imagined botanical landscapes. They are sketches of nature, gestural lines that capture interpretations of flowers that sustain pollinators and ecosystems.
Layer by layer, fabric, lace, and fragments of the past become the background. Then, with free-motion stitching, each composition is drawn in thread—like a sketch the lines are, expressive, and alive. Finally, fluid acrylic inks are used to bring it alive in color. The color is applied like watercolor, allowing the fabric to shine through the colors.
Every piece is a new life to something that was once discarded.

Description
The Process
Each 12″ x 12″ wall sculpture is created through a multi-layered process:
- Vintage quilts and textiles are carefully selected and reworked
- Fabrics are layered to create depth and texture
- Free-motion sewing is used to “draw” the image in thread
- Acrylic inks are applied, flowing like watercolor
- Hand-placed details (buttons, beads, ceramic elements) reward close viewing
No two pieces can ever be replicated.
The Meaning This collection honors pollinator-supporting flowers—a quiet nod to the fragile ecosystems that sustain life. Just as pollinators restore and renew nature, these works reclaim and restore forgotten materials.
