What is Gel Plate Printing?
A gel (or Gelli) plate is a durable, reusable printing surface that looks and feels like a slab of gelatin, but lasts forever. It allows you to apply acrylic paints, layer textures, and pull stunning, one-of-a-kind “mono-prints” onto paper instantly—no expensive printing press required. It is highly addictive, wonderfully unpredictable, and deeply satisfying.
What You’ll Experience
This workshop is all about play, texture, and happy accidents. Over the course of three hours, you will dive into a sensory, color-filled playground:

- The Art of Layering: Learn how to roll out acrylic paints using brayers, blend custom color palettes directly on the plate, and build rich, complex backgrounds.
- Textures & Stencils: Experiment with found objects, botanical elements, stencils, and textured fabrics to create striking negative spaces and intricate patterns.

What You’ll Take Home
You will leave the studio with a vibrant portfolio of 10 to 15 original, hand-pulled prints on premium paper. These finished pieces are perfect for framing as standalone art, using for collage work, or turning into custom greeting cards and journal pages.
