This sculpture was inspired by the “Black Lives Matter” Living in Georgia USA in 2020 was a time of mind blowing crazy human behavior. In February, Three men chased down and Killed Ahmaud Arbory. Weeks after George Floyd’s Death, Rayhard Brooks was killed on June 12 in a Wendy’s Parking lot. In Georgia we spent months of election conflict. Then add covid to the mix and it felt like hate was a pill everyone was taking.
A major part of the sculpture is at the top. It is a ceramic tile of a crown. In the crown it says, silence is not an option, women rock, I am beautiful, I matter, rise up, hear me and trust your heart just to name a few quiotes. The cast iron butterfly sits right above an oil painting of Passion Flowers. The two encaustics at the bottom are christmas ornaments smashed and covered in wax.

Contact Journey Sculptures when you decide to purchase a sculpture in the inventory. All sales are done in person or by phone. We accept credit cards, and other forms of payment. Our goal is for you to be 100% satisfied. Not only with your sculpture, but also the process of purchasing and delivery. We will work with you every step of the way to ensure all processes are smooth.
Shipping
Shipping will be arranged at the time of purchasing the sculpture. If possible Deborah will deliver and install the sculpture. When hand delivery is not possible boxing and shipping will be arranged with a national or international carrier. This will be worked out at the time of purchase. Factors of location and size of sculpture will determine if additional cost will be incurred. Deborah’s intent is to keep the cost as manageable as possible. There is no reasonable way to calculate the shipping cost without knowing the location. We decided to do it this way so that we were not arbitrarily adding shipping cost to each sculpture price. It makes sense to figure shipping at the time of the sale.
